Lori Barbera
Founder
Lori Barbera, a native from Upstate New York, dreamed of following in her father’s footsteps and becoming an entrepreneur from childhood. After graduating from SUNY Oswego, Lori set her sights on the West Coast and relocated to San Francisco where she immediately was offered the first 3 positions she interviewed for and began her journey as an Executive Assistant to the President of a GE Capital Company. While working for GE, Lori had the coveted experience of working alongside the celebrated, legendary CEO, Jack Welch. This experience paved the way for what became Lori’s vision on future business endeavors. Mr. Welch would regularly promote “building truth and trust” which is the manner in which Lori lives her life both personally and professionally. From there she was offered a position as a Project Coordinator for a boutique healthcare company. While there, part of her responsibility was setting up large social recruiting dinners and events. It was here that Lori first discovered her passion for event planning.
After living in San Francisco for 6 years, Lori felt there were more challenges and experiences waiting and ventured back to the East Coast this time landing in New York City. She made a career move into the healthcare industry and became a sales representative for a large pharmaceutical company. Again, while being responsible for setting up large pharmaceutical dinners, her passion for events tugged within. After 3 years in Manhattan, she felt the need to make what would likely become her final move back to the West Coast and landed in Los Angeles.
Lori initially started off with another pharmaceutical company as she excelled in the sales world. While residing in LA, Lori was introduced to one of the founders of The One Group. She was offered a position as Director of Special Events. With limited event experience, she accepted the challenge and it paid off. Lori helped The One Group open One Sunset in 2004, followed by STK and Coco de Ville. All 3 venues opened with a vengeance! In STK’s opening week, Lori brought in the most celebrity attended event the now public company with multiple locations in the US and overseas has yet to see. As the years passed, the west coast venues hosted everything from Grammy to Emmy to Oscar parties, all brought in and executed by Lori.
While acting as Director of Events, Lori became close to another of the founding partners of The One Group. The duo decided to open a burger concept. It was in 2010 that Baby’s Badass Burgers sprang from the imaginations and experiences of the 2 girls. Babys grew from 1 solitaire food truck in 2010 to 8 in 2018 in multiple cities. Lori saw a niche and filled it immediately. With her extensive events background, Lori created 3B Events in 2012, specializing in large scale food truck events and giving clients a unique experience in an industry that is booming.
Mayu Shiroishi
Mayu Shiroishi was born in Japan and spent her childhood in Seattle, as well as Los Angeles. After completing her primary education, Mayu attended San Francisco State University for 2 years before transferring to Chapman University in Orange County, graduating with a B.S. in Business Administrations with an Emphasis in Entrepreneurship and a Minor in Economics. During her time at Chapman, Mayu was actively involved in various organizations on campus, which helped to build her leadership skills and broaden her perspectives.
In 2018, Mayu earned her Real Estate license and joined The Heather Boyd Group at The Agency. She occupies a unique position as an executive assistant to Heather Boyd and an associate agent. Her hard work and dedication have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and clients alike.
In 2019, Mayu met Lori Barbera, CEO and co-founder of 3B Events, and found her true passion for event planning. Mayu has since become an integral part of the 3B Events team, where she coordinates food trucks for social gatherings, corporate conferences, and large-scale events. Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to connect with clients have made her a valuable asset to the team.
Mayu is a driven and ambitious young woman with a bright future ahead of her. She is always seeking new challenges and opportunities to grow, both personally and professionally. With her diverse skill set, Mayu is poised to make a significant impact in the business and event planning industries for years to come.
Niki Cohen
Niki Cohen is a seasoned professional in the events space with over 10 years of experience in the industry. Raised in Las Vegas, Niki moved to Santa Barbara to attend Antioch University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Communication.
After graduating, Niki was introduced to Lori Barbera, owner of the food truck brand, Baby’s Badass Burgers and 3B Events, an event company focusing on the food truck industry. Niki found her passion in this world and honed her skills in on events working side by side with Lori where she has been an integral part of the 3B Events team since 2016. During her time with 3B events, Niki has been responsible for assisting Lori with organizing vendors and executing a wide range of events, from corporate conferences and private gatherings to large-scale festivals such as Rosé Day LA and Nights of the Jack.
Niki also works for Trailer Park as a Production Coordinator with the Mirada team. In this role, she is responsible for managing production schedules, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Niki’s extensive background in the food truck space and production coordination has equipped her with the skills necessary to handle even the most complex events with ease. Her attention to detail, creativity, and passion for delivering exceptional experiences to clients makes her a valuable asset to the team.
When she’s not working, Niki enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. She is committed to giving back to her community and is involved with several local charities and organizations.
Mackenzie Rayne
Mackenzie Rayne has a background in the entertainment industry. She works alongside various crews to produce quality television and film productions that scale the globe. Due to her efforts and success in the acting industry, you can catch her performing as an actress in some of these movies.
Currently, Mackenzie is pursuing online entertainment with success. Branding herself as the mystery streamer, she is building a cozy hype community on Twitch There you can find her engaging in mystery media, adventure games, and dating simulators. Videos, where she engages an audience in discussions surrounding new productions, can be seen on her YouTube channel.
Mackenzie’s previous work experience in and outside of the entertainment industry has provided her with the unique skills to employ professionalism alongside a unique experience for the client and their guests. For 3B Events, she plays an integral part in the team’s successes. Off-site, she books the food trucks, creates a streamlined and clear invoice forum, maps out a suggested template for truck placement in the event space and regulates the menus that will be recreated on the day. During the event, Mackenzie executes such duties as a safe load in and exit, the pacing of food distribution for prepaid events to ensure minimal wait times, and monitoring the success of each truck with an accurate count of allotted goods. She is skilled in prioritizing customer service and adapting to any problem-solving solutions that may arise throughout the event.
